Kevin Kassekert
Kevin is a people-centric leader with over 25 years of experience in high-tech and high-volume manufacturing, with a passion for developing teams and scaling disruptive technology.
He began his career spending 13 years at Cypress Semiconductor and Silicon Valley Technology Center (SVTC) across production operations, process engineering, and product commercialization. That foundation led him to Tesla, where over seven-plus years he led Global Infrastructure Development, People, and Places functions. His work there included completing the nation’s first U.S. cross-country Supercharger network and leading the design, construction, and operational ramp of the world’s first — and at the time largest — Li-Ion battery Gigafactory in Nevada; that team then went on to deliver additional Gigafactories in Shanghai, Berlin, and Austin, TX.
Kevin then served as COO of Redwood Materials for over four years, playing a pivotal role in growing the company from a small startup to a multibillion-dollar leader in Li-Ion battery recycling, refining, and battery materials manufacturing.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA in global management.
