Job Purpose
As the Supply Chain & Production Control Planner at VulcanForms, Devens, MA, you will support procurement of external material through ensuring that all systems and processes are designed to ensure zero stock-out situations.  You will also ensure that shop floor execution starts on time and that material progresses through the manufacturing process in a timely way.  We are seeking an experienced professional to be part of our production team. This role is critical to the success of the company vision.

Key Accountabilities
  • Execute and monitor the planning and replenishment of all materials required for product delivery and machine builds.
  • Manage part master data in the internal ERP system including:
    • replenishment methods (MRP or ROP)
    • lot sizes
    • lead times
    • ROP & ROQ quantities
    • safety stocks, etc.
  • Analyze results of the MRP system along with system generated part replenishment recommendations.
  • Integrate with procurement to determine the correct replenishment model to support PO placement, while considering part and PO placement lead times.
  • Integrate with warehouse and production staff to help support shop floor operations, work order on-time starts and prevent any work stoppages.
  • Manage and report out on status of production progress of customer deliverables including tracking external vendor operations.
  • Attend daily production and Gemba meetings to collect status on production
  • Provide delivery commitments to the internal and external customers, including leadership
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, business administration or equivalent with 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, oral communication, and writing skills
  • Authorized to work within the U.S. without restrictions (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or green card holder))
Preferred
  • CPIM certification a plus
  • ERP system experience – Epicor preferred
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
  • Logical and efficient, with strong attention to detail
  • Able to exercise independent judgment and take appropriate action
  • Team player in a highly collaborative environment
  • Strong sense of ownership

  • Self-motivated, hands-on, practical mindset, and capable of setting and reaching ambitious goals
