With large Capital Expansion projects currently underway at both our Engineering R&D location in Burlington MA and our new Additive Manufacturing Center, VulcanForms has an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Engineering Manager.

Together with VulcanForms’ Engineering Leadership, the Facilities Engineering Manager will formulate an overall Capital Expansion strategy and manage capital projects from concept to completion.

In this role the Facilities Engineering Manager will be responsible for:

  • Oversight of installation of complex Materials Processing Machines such as Vacuum and Inert Gas Heat-Treating Furnaces, Gas Handling Systems, Machining Centers, Lasers Systems and Water-based Cleaning Stations
  • Identifying Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, General Contractors and Trades required for all Capital Expansion projects
  • Creating Statements of Work and soliciting Request for Quotations for all Capital Expansion projects
  • Development of all maintenance programs relating to the interior and exterior conditions and appearance of the property
  • Coordinating with City and State Regulating Authorities for required Permitting and Compliance and identification of Subject Matter Experts when needed
  • Establishing a Project Management tracker and ensuring specific projects are completed in a timely and cost-efficient manner
  • Developing acquisition and installation budgets and providing time and cost estimates
  • Staffing Facilities Engineering personnel, assessing performance and recommending compensation
Requirements
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in engineering facility management
  • Must have working knowledge of a large factory
  • Must have experience in ISO or NADCAP certification of facilities
  • Must have good mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Must have experience in equipment repair, maintenance, and design
  • Must have experience with managing environmental compliance projects and issues
  • Must have experience dealing with regulators
  • Ability to read Blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Preferred not required BS or BA in Mechanical or Systems Engineering (or equivalent degree)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter, well organized, detail oriented, diligent
  • Capable of setting and reaching ambitious goals
  • Team player with excellent inter-personal and communication skills
  • Eager to learn new skills
